Christopher "Chris" Bennett formed Coda Capital with Dustin Weinberger, and shares overall management responsibility for Coda Capital. Chris is responsible for deal generation and overseeing due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation, along with fundraising, investor relations and managing the investment and portfolio company functions of the firm. Prior to co-founding Coda Capital, he was a Partner in the Corporate Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP (Law360 Private Equity Practice Group of the Year, 2011-2015, Capital Markets Practice Group of the Year, 2014-2015) where he led deal teams and managed client and intermediary relationships. 

Mr. Bennett has over seventeen years of experience working on corporate finance transactions including representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies (public and private).  Chris has handled a wide array of corporate finance and securities matters in connection with mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buy-outs totaling over $40 billion in transaction value.  He has considerable experience in advising both private and public companies on securities and corporate governance matters. 

Mr. Bennett received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri School of Law where he served on the Editorial Board of the Missouri Law Review.  He is a member of the American Bar and Chicago Bar Associations and has been recognized in The Legal 500 U.S. in Capital Markets. Chris lives in Chicago with his wife and children.
